Root Cannot root my LG Venice. Help!

I have an unactivated LG Venice that I want to root before I use it for any calls. Can anyone give me some advice? I downloaded both the "RootRestorebyBin4ry" zip, plus the "RootOptimus" as well as the drivers from the LG website. After running both programs I use the joey krim "root checker basic" app. Every time I get the same message, "this device does not have proper root access." Am I missing a step here? I dunno. It's driving me nuts. I just can't get my phone rooted. It just won't take. Can someone help me before I beat my brains out against my desk???

Hello beatnik. First let's get your question exposed to more Venice rooters.. I've placed your post/thread here in the Venice All Things Root area for that reason.

Next, have a look here:http://androidforums.com/venice-all-things-root/631057-venice-all-things-root-guide.html

and especially at the posts in this same area. Please take your time looking around and reading the experiences of others.. at some point you'll very likely spot the remedy for your issue. :)

Fine if you moved it, but did you not read it? The "Venice: All Things Root Guide" is where I got the root program to begin with. I followed every instruction to the T. It just won't do it. I don't know why. It's gotten to the point where I'm beginning to think this whole rooting thing is more like a pipe dream...

Did you get to the point where the phone confirms you want to restore? Does the cmd.exe screen show that BusyBox and other files have been pushed to your phone? Does the phone reboot afterwards?

I have the same problem. This issue arose due to a LG Upgrade. I had my Venice rooted, but then needed to ship it to LG for repairs. They installed the LG730ZV6 upgrade, which didn't help my rebooting issue, but does block root from being enabled. Just sit tight while we work on a fix.

The phone reboots but when I check with the "Root Checker Basic" app it says "this device does not have proper root access." I dunno what to make of it. I believe I go through all the steps correctly but still...nothing.

Thanks yankees5963@Team Glitch! Will be looking forward to when you find that fix!
