Root Cannot root Samsung S5 G900 ATT

I have tried several methods to root Samsung S5 G900 on ATT including towel root, kingroot and one click root. I am always able to download the app but it says rooting for my phone is not supported. What am I doing wrong?

I think it depends on which Android version you are on. If you are on 5.0 I don't think root is possible yet.

Can I do factory reset (I believe Kit Kat) and then root from there? Or will ATT stop me?

Unfortunately the factory reset was to 5.0. Only reason why I want to root is to allow SD card to adopt internal storage. For some reason, ADB cannot find the disk on my phone.

Unless something has changed root is not possible on 5.0 and AT&T locked the Bootloader up solid so you can't downgrade to a earlier version to root. Look at this thread on XDA
