Apps Cannot run dev system

I have downloaded the development system (which claims it is complete) but when I tried to run it I got a message saying it could not find a Java system

I tried adding a JAVA_HOME environment variable but that did not work.

I then copied the entire Java directory to the eclipse directory but now get a message saying it failed to load ...\jre\bin\client\jvm.dll, despite that file being present in the location specified.

I'd be grateful if anyone has any ideas.

Uninstall the entire Java system (including the environment variable). Go to the Java site and install the latest one.
