Help Cannot send email with yahoo.

This was working till just a day or two ago. My yahoo email account can no longer send out emails. Just get a message "Cannot safely connect to server (My email address)" and in the notification window I get a "Sending Failed myemailaddress" message and the email is still in my queue. I can receive emails on this email account and the other email addresses in that app are working fine.

So I try to go in and see if somehow the setting for the email address are somehow incorrect but I can't seem to find them. When I go into:

"Settings/accounts and sync/the email address/settings/the email address/"

The only thing really of importance you can change is account name, your name and down at the bottom is account password. Where is the other server information located?

Also I tried to delete the account but the phone says "Account is needed by some apps. you can only remove it by resetting device back to factory defaults (Which deletes all person data). To do this go to Settings > Backup and reset."

So where are the settings I need to look at the see what is wrong with the account? And why can't I delete a yahoo email address? I don't have it marked as default email address and I don't know of any other apps installed that are tied to it.

Yahoo! has a history of not working nicely with Android phones stock email client. Try using the Yahoo! app from the Play Store. It works great for those few I know who still use Yahoo! & haven't made the jump to Gmail.

Ok that worked and allowed me to send out messages via yahoo mail. So this means the settings in the phone (wherever they are) are working and it's just the app. Do people usually disable to stock mail app and replace it?

it not the stock email app...it has something to do with Yahoo! I know people with different branded phones who have Yahoo! email and they have the same issue. You can go into application manager, and disable the stock email client if you want. I think the Yahoo! app gives you Push also, which the stock won't.
