cannot send emails

[Android Question]

I have a Samsung Galaxy s3 on contract with TalkTalk.I can receive emails using my TT account but cannot send emails.I have all the recommended out going settings but I am having no joy.I am told that TT use Vodaphone's network so should my outgoing settings be set to Vodaphone's ?

I assume you're using the TalkTalk SMTP server ..

A quick Google tells me this is smtp.talktalk.net on port 587.

I have a tinyworld. tiscali and talktalk account and had this problem I went to a "geekshop" at carphonewarehouse and they agreed that it was not possible to configure my galaxy 3 to send emails. I contacted the ceo's office at talktalk and they confirm that "no android device off our network are able to send emails at all." They appear not to be interested in solving that problem. This is the text of their last mail to me:-

"Thank you for your email. The technical department at the CEO office have looked at this email issue for you but we are unable to resolve it due to the fact that android devices off our network are unable to send emails. We cannot take any further action regarding this matter.
