Help Cannot stop apps from running even when I have disabled them

Hi There
I have a samsung Galaxy s6 which still has a lot of bloatware on it and after doing a factory reset and software update, it seems to have gotten even worse.
I have disabled alot of things such as Facebook and Game service and my interests, yet they are always running. I force stop and sometimes do the clean master but they always just reset themselves and run in the background anyway. I have heard of an app called Task Killer but apparently that does not work either. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated!

Welcome to Android Forums!

Bloatware is installed not as USER apps, but as SYSTEM apps... meaning that without roting the phone, they're going to run as part of the phone's operating system. Depending on what carrier-specific S6 you have, rooting may be easy and it may be impossible. If you CAN root, you can do so and then install Titanium Backup Paid version, which is worth its weight in gold*. With it you can "freeze" bloat apps, meaning that they won't show up in your app drawer or use resources.

If you can't or won't root, then there is little you can do. I understand your frustration and try to avoid un-rootable devices with a ton of bloatware. I hope this helps and it's great to have you here :)

I know... Titanium Backup is an app and doesn't really weigh anything, therefore it's not worth much in actual gold. But its value lies in its power to back up apps and app data, and freeze or uninstall system apps you don't want. Be careful about uninstalling system apps, as it could have very bad, unintended consequences! That's why I recommend freezing system apps rather than uninstalling them.

Just let them be. They won't affect you in anyway nor have any effect on the battery that you could notice. Using clean master and task killers will just make them use more battery as the system would restart them. Over time as you use the phone, it will learn which apps you use a lot and prioritize them.

Clean Master(Cheetah Mobile Clean Master SDK) is actually pre-installed as system on the S6, and I believe it can't be disabled either, not without root. All new Samsungs come with CM now, and a very good reason to consider your choice of phone carefully IMO.

Samsung calls CM "Smart Manager"
