cannot synchronize google accounts

Hey all, i have a mpman tablet running Android.
If i go to http://market.android.com and i log in with my gmail account a message shows up saying there's no Android device connected with my account.
so i did some research and found out that i had to make on in my settings menu, if i do that, my tablet prompts me, saying that it can not connect to the server.
Yes my wifi is on, im on thus forum with my tablet atm and yes the gmail account i try to use is a registered one.
anyone else had this before?

If you go to the Android market web site and go to settings there you can view your devices linked to Android Market. If your device is not listed there is an option to click that says "don't see your device" in there it will give reasons why your device is not synced.

I've already done that, thts when i saw how to add an account.

Have you downloaded an app via the Android Market application on you're device instead of the web site?

Well i did that, but then i've reset my factory settings. And tried to set up an account again and it still didnt work.
