Cannot transfer pics from MAXX to PC

Recently, my RAZR MAXX no longer allows my PC to connect so I can download pics to my PC.

When I connect via USB cable, Windows Explorer used to automatically connect and show separate drives where data is held, including photos.

Now, no connection is made at all.

I cannot find any kind of option or control that addresses this, any suggestions appreciated.

Hello and welcome to the forums . I see your having a problem with a android device . The droidmaxx is not sync when you plug in by the usb . Have you recently wiped your pc/laptop to factory settings .
 
Yes welcome to Android Forums. With the USB cable connected between them and you pull down the notification window what does it report about the USB connection?

Thom: If I understand you right, it is the pull down list from the top of the phone. USB computer connection page has "Mass Storage" checked. That is no change, I believe.

BRAINZ2013: Um... I've used PCs since DOS 1.0. I've never "wiped" a PC to factory settings. :confused:

It could also be the USB port that you are using on the PC. The USB ports on the front in many PCs are notoriously bad. See if you get the same result from a different port.

Folks, the problem has been resolved.

The comments I have received concerning hardware got me looking at the entire chain from phone to PC.

I am using a USB hub with 4 slots, and like I inferred, has worked well until now. I changed the cable to another USB slot at the front of the PC, and it works perfectly.

Just the opposite of what you suggested, Thom! :)

Ha, I guess I'm just a contrarian....
