I cannot upgrade to marshmallow even though the ota update had arrived on my micro max canvas A1, it keeps saying not enough space, although I have freed upto 520 mb space... Pls help

Have you tried booting into recovery and wiping the cache partition?
Follow below steps to boot into stock recovery for the Micromax Canvas A1.
Switch off phone
Press Power button+Volume Up simultaneously
Select Recovery mode [VOLUME_UP to select.VOLUME_DOWN is OK]
Wait for Micromax logo and then a Dead Android with Test "No Command"
Now hold Power then tap Volume up (in that order only) and leave it.
Congratulation! You are now in the stock recovery
Once in recovery, use the volume buttons to navigate to 'wipe cache partition' and select it (usually with the power button or the home button) then reboot and try again
