I just got my Razr MAXX HD and love it, however I am having a lot of trouble accessing the storage to transfer pics/ringtones/music/etc. I've installed the most recent Motorola Device Manager which I presume comes with relevant drivers, but that application itself is worthless. What I get in the various USB "connect as" options are:
1> Mass Storage - this shows up as a Removable Disk, but when I click on it it says "insert disk into Removable disk".
2> Media device (MTP) - this shows up a Droid RAZR HD as a portable device and I when clicked upon I see "Internal Storage". However, when I click on that, it hangs as if it is unable to read the disk.
My old Droid X would show up as a removable disk as a Mass Storage device and would be easily accessible (and still does), so this is exceptionally frustrating. Suggestions?
Edit: I also tried this on a second computer where I didn't install the Motorola software and just installed the detected drivers Win7 found. Same results.
