Whenever I plug my Samsung Galaxy 2 phone to the computer it reads as a camera in Windows XP, even though the phone itself is saying it's in MTP mode. I want to access my songs to add/remove but the only way I can do that is to physically remove the card and use a Micro SD adapter. Any way around this?

What carrier are you on? Can you change the protocol from MTP to PTP, then back again? I have to do that on my S3.

Did you download keis? That's the only way I know of to work from computer to Samsung devices

Or you can download the drivers directly from Samsung, or just search "Samsung Android Drivers - Your device" in google.
Kies is probably the easiest method though.
