I have a Galaxy S7 with all the updates. I have a small data plan so I usually have data turned off. Yesterday, I was in a place that had free wifi. I opened Chrome to Google and tried to do a search but instead I got a message back that told me that Google had sent back a message that I was on a unsecure network and I couldn't use it.
(this has happened a few times recently) I then tried to use Google directly and it wouldn't search either.
I then turned on data and had no trouble. Up until a few months ago, I have never had trouble using public (unsecure) wifi. I am using Verizon. I searched the settings on Google and chrome and couldn't find any that would allow me to browse on public wifi. Is there something I am missing? The message I said I got from chrome was not the exact words but close. It did give the options "reload" and "advanced" but neither option would help. Thanks.l
