Can't access webmail server via WIFI, suddenly

My phone is NOT being used with a data plan, but does have WIFI. I changed something recently (and can't remember what)and now when I login to my webmail thru my server, (while on the internet, over WIFI) put in my name and password to check my email, it just returns me to the same page, (asking for name and password again) even though the name and password are the same (so I can't check my email). I can do it on a computer at work, and also my wife's phone, so I don't think it has to do with my provider. I have access to the internet and all other functions seem to work well. Any thoughts? I have cookies enabled. Just can't imagine what I might have changed.

I have a rooted Vodafone 858 with Android version 2.2.1, have used it several months, love it.

Got my wife a LG Optimus T, rooted it, and it has Android also, love it too.

We do not have data plans, just pay-as-you-go with TMobile

Update:

I downloaded the browser Opera Mini from the Market, and it does not have the problem. SO, I suppose it was some setting that I made to the browser that came with the phone. Any thoughts? It's driving me just a little bit crazy.
