Help Can't add Contacts to Groups - Can u help please?

Check the display options in the contacts menu. You might have saved it to sim and the display option for sim is unchecked.
Open phonebook>left menu button>display

Android is really easy to use, granted a few things are different than the previous trend but it gets the job done better. It just takes a while getting used to it.

If you guys are using Google Contacts on your phone, those groups can only be edited and added on your browser on Google Contacts site. If you try to create a group on your phone, it will only detect Phone Contacts and NOT Google Contacts.

Can i somehow transfer the groups from Google site at the phone for making use of them offline?

copy all your sim contacts to phone memory first then

-> contacts -> groups -> + add members.....

Open Contacts -> Press Menu Button -> Select More -> Import/Export -> Import From SIM

i gave up on trying to use groups as the phone won't let you send an sms to more than 10 people anyway, and the only way to do it appeared to be to have 2 copies of every contact which is just irritating.

I just worked out how to add logs entries on the Android and later add them to your Google System "My Contacts" Group. When adding a log entry to your contacts you get the option "Save Contacts to" Choose your Google Account. Create and save your contact.

You can see the new entries by going to your contacts and doing a search. Enter the start of their name and a list of matches will appear as you type. At the bottom of the matches is an option to "Search in all groups". Select this and you will see your new contact amongst the matches.

Of course this is clumsy so it is best to place them in your Google "My Contacts" group with the rest of your contacts. Once your Android has sync'd with your Google account, go online to your Google Contacts (Google.com/contacts) and you will find your new entry/s under "Other Contacts". Select your new contacts and then choose "Add to my contacts". Once your Google account has sync'd with your Android, your new cotact/s will be visible with your Google Contacts.

Hello,

i have a problem with my email contacts on Samsung Galaxy TAB P5100. I usually send one letter to a group of conacts (about 200 members). I'm doing that on Outlook on my PC. Does anybody have an ideas how could i make it on my tablet? Is there any android email program, which contains email groups (many members, 200 and more)? Or is it any programs just to put contact group and when i push "CC"or ""BCC" on my new letter, it automatically show for me this group (now i see only my gmail conatacts). Thank you for the answer.

My Galaxy S3 force closes every time I try to create a new group. All my contacts are under Google contacts and none are on my sim card.
Any ideas.
