Can't Answer Calls to Cellphone

I'm having a problem for the past two days that I can't answer most calls to my cell phone. It shows a call coming in and it rings but pressing "answer" does nothing, no matter how many times I keep pressing it. Once in a while I can answer a call but most times I can't. Anyone have an idea of why this is happening or whether there is some setting on the phone that on its own somehow got turned off (or on) that would cause this?

On a Samsung Galaxy J2, you can answer a call by swiping the green phone icon up or towards the right. Alternatively, you can enable a "tap to answer" feature by going to the Phone app -> Settings -> Answering and ending calls. You can also set it to answer by pressing the Volume Up button.
