Help Can't boot - red exclamation mark in a triangle

Hi all,

I have a Vodafone UK HTC One M8 and it is in a constant boot loop to a red triangle with an exclamation mark inside it. I've never rooted it but I am technical and am keen to do whatever is needed to get some life back out of this phone.

I can get to recovery and it says ***LOCKED*** M*_UL PVT SHIP S-ON

I have read that I could try and find an RUU version of the Vodafone rom which is on my phone, but a google search for this didn't yield me anything as yet.....

Yeah, unfortunately you're going to struggle finding a RUU that's UK carrier specific. What happened to put phone in to this state? Since you can boot to bootloader, on phone so have linked you to another post of mine to get some further info using fastboot tool, here:
