Can't connect to Odin 3.09.

Galaxy S5/verizon: Trying to revert back to kitkat 4.4.4 but my computer shows MSM8960 with a yellow exclamation mark on it in device manager. Both of my computers show this, and neither of them have a problem recognizing the phone in standard mode. I tried different usb ports, doing it in different orders, but nothing.

Which drivers are you refering to?

The Samsung drivers. Easiest way to install them is to install Samsung Kies on your pc (dont have Kies running while using Odin. They don't play nicely together)

Yeah I read that, but the tutorial i'm reading never mentioned those drivers. I've got them installed now and it should work, thanks.

Good luck. PS I'm not entirely sure but I have a feeling you can no longer roll back the firmware on Samsung without soft bricking the phone.

It worked, but it got stuck on the verizon screen. After many attempts I had to do a factory reset as clearing the cache didn't work. Factory reset > pull the battery out for 10 sec, reboot. Kitkat is next to perfect. Lollipop added nothing useful for me, and made many things worse.

In fact, lollipop is how I would update your phone if I hated you.

I actually like lollipop but Samsung's version of it might be a bit shit
