Help Cant connect to vpn? help

Basically I am trying to use a vpn on my l70. Reason beeing I need a working vpn in order to successfully wifi tether.

Before I could connect a vpn through the pc but now it doesnt even want to connect through the pc.

I have tried multiple vpns in the app store and all have trouble conecting to the servers.

I know its my phone for a fact I was wondering if there was someway I could modify my firewall and unblock it becausd im thinking its a dns error idk...

Anyways please help I really would like to connect my xbox one already... Phone details below

Update i got the vpn working by changing my apn settings to tmobile.. but now cant even surf the internet metro pcstether restriction page dont even show up. And ive ried two different vpns. On the phone it works fine cchecked ipchicken.com an everything... Seems like some dns error prob?
