Help Can't delete music files from SD card using Android File Transfer

I'm using a MacBook Pro OS 10.6.8 with a Samsung Ace 4 Lite phone and can't delete any music files from a 16 GB sd card using the Android File Transfer. The music files on the device storage will delete though. I updated the Google Play Music app but that didn't help. Also, new music transferred to the sd card won't play but old songs play fine. There's nothing wrong with the sd card. Any idea what is wrong?

The sd card works with Kindle, photos, videos but not new music. Could there be something wrong with only the music storage function? I'm taking music from You Tube and converting it to a MP3 file.

I reformatted the sd card after saving all the music and photos to my Mac HD. This worked for 3 days but now the sd card won't play new music again.

As I posted previously, did you actually check or test the integrity of your SD? Seems rather odd that it works for a while then it stops, unless possibly the SD is having problems, like data is becoming corrupted on it, can't really think of anything else it might be, other than actually trying another SD. I know it's only music that's giving trouble, but I think try the obvious things first, like swapping out SDs.

How long have you had the SD, because they do eventually wear out electrically. Flash storage can only be written to a certain number of times before it starts to fail.
