Can't Display APPS Button On Samsung S23

[startac4]

I want to have the APPS button on my home screen. I turned on Settings -> Home Screen -> Show Apps Screen Button On Home Screen but the button is not displayed. What else do I need to do to get the button?

You might check your home screen settings to make sure it's not locked.

How do I check that? I'm able to get other things onto Home Screen.
