Can't download Apps

I have recently bought a Samsung Galaxy Ace GT-S5830i. I'm up and running except for the Samsung Apps. I can't download any apps or update any. The message I get is "Unable to download. Not enough memory". Should it not save directly to the SD card (which has 4GB of free space.) If so, how can I force it to do so. Sorry if this question has been asked before, I've searched and cannot find an answer.

You only can shove parts of some apps to the SD card AFTER you've installed it on the app storage.

So first you might free app storage with uninstalling some apps.

Thanks for that Harry. I've freed some of the space on the phone which is now showing 25.52MB free space. Could you talk me through how to save to the SD card, please.

Install app. Then go into the Manage Applications menu, select the app, and choose "move to sd"

Not all apps allow this though, and if the app has a widget that you use you do not want to move it as the widget will stop working.
