Help can't download files from the internetz or use sd card

at first i could do it then it says i need to free up space then i deleted everything i downloaded and it still wont let me and i cant utilize the sd card at all. anybody know what's up with this?

the "format sd card) option is dimmed when i go into sd and phone storage and doesn't let me format the sd card. wtf?
