Root cant download from web?

I used to be able to download from file host sites and even directly off of certain websites themselves. (I.e. here) onto my DROID x.

Now I can't. I can't download a single item from the web anymore except for pics. (Long press save image) im on deodexed. 596

I never had this problem on froyo . Is it just me?
Of course I don't mind downloading stuff from my pc and transferring to my phone, but im sure you know how it feels to be lazy about small things like that.

Hope im not in this alone...

Grab yourself an app called download buddy. It allows you to download any file regardless of it being a "supported" file type on your phone. This may help you out with your problem. Also clear your browser cache. That can help also.
