Nexus 5 Marshmallow. I've found that it's not possible to edit a contact name (Google Contacts). It goes through the motions, but leaves the name unchanged. I've tried several different contact apps, same result.
Now when I go to the web interface on my desktop, I find that the name has been changed as requested, so it is now out of sync with my phone. I've done all the re-syncing, etc. but the name refuses to change on my phone.
The solution I've found is to use the desktop, web interface, export the contact in question, re-import it, then delete the original. It now syncs the name properly to my phone.
Any other solutions to this problem?
