My phone is cracked, most likely the digitizer because the glass has nothing wrong with it. the worst part is i have the stupid android sliding lock on it and i don't have debugging activated, so therefore i cannot use motocast because i can't unlock my phone, and i cant root it to use screencast and any other thing to help me retrieve my information because i can't turn on debugging.
i also can't crack the sliding lock because i don't have debugging activated.
I have connected it to a tv with a hdmi cable and tried doing it that way but the screen is unresponsive to touch. so that lead me to a dead end.
i have called mottorola and they said they would replace it because the crack is internal so its a manufacturing problem, but they say my information will probably be deleted. this doesn't matter to me as much anymore because i've purchased a new phone already but im dying to get my information off of my old phone.
i've tried a lot of tricks but i can't seem to find one that works and i would like to know if there is anyother way possible to get the stuff off of my phone, i would also like to know if its impossible so i can stop spending hours of my life trying to fix a broken phone.
i'm interested to know if i can activate debugging through my computer in some way. please don't tell me i can do it through adb because that requires debugging to be enabled... (or at least im fairly certain it does, if not please tell me).
ive also looked into the otg thing where i can connect my mouse to my phone and use it but this, from what i've seen, requires you to unlock your phone.... throwing me into the foreverlasting loop of being screwed by having a lock on my phone... this lock has turned out to screw me more than "help" me.
