Can't find 8.9 in Best Buys.. wonder why?

So, BB has the 8.9 on display, prominently. However, they are 'unavailable' in all stores I can find, not just out of stock. The mystery is that they have 300+ in their regional warehouse, but none en route or on order to the stores it seems. Now, they can ship to store, no problem. 2-3 days. But it makes me wonder why they are holding them instead of distributing them?
 
My local BB has the worst tablet section ever. They have everything on display but totally disorganized. The Apple section on the other hand is meticulously taken care of.

No 8.9s here either. But a 10.1 , 8.9, 7+ and little multimedia players on display.
 
And 9 times out of 10 the Android tablets are off or stuck in a vid loop. Just about every place that sells tablets simply don't care if Android tablets are working or not. Target, Best Buy, Radio shack, whatever...

iDevices on the other hand are very well cared for, always working and product is behind locked glass, so you know it is in stock.
