Can't find my Wifi

My phone when it searches for wifi it never finds mine. I know my wifi is discoverable cause my cousin just connected his laptop and itouch to it. Anyone know what's happening here?

Could you supply some more information about your router like security method and such?

Are you able to connect to other networks?
 
I'm not sure about all the security details but I just know it has a password. I can find other networks but I haven't tried connecting yet. Lemme find a hotspot or once I get home I'll jump on my neighbors wifi and I'll let you know.
 
Ugh, can't connect to my neighbors internet cause it's too poor of a signal. But yeah, I can see other networks when I scan for them but I just can't find mine.
 
Can you try installing the Wi-Fi Anayliser app on your phone and see if it see's your network? If so at what channel is the best signal? Try changing the channel on your router to that. Also really need to know what security your router is using.
 
sounds like your router has a different security method that your phone can't see. you'll have to go into your router's settings and change it.
 
Ok I checked and these are my security settings.

Security Mode: WPA/WPA2-Personal(PSK)
Authentication: WPA-PSK+WPA2-PSK

And there's some box at the bottom that says 'obscure PSK' and it's checked.
 
well i'm not sure what exactly your phone will accept, but i would suggest changing the security of the router to different ones to see if any of them work.
 
I saw you had the same problem as me in my thread. Haven't figured it out yet, but from what I can see you have the same encryption on the wifi as me. So maybe we'll have to try and change it to regular wpa or wep. I will post it here if I can fix it.

Hey man, I figured it out. I changed the authentication to WPA-PSK and I instantly found my network. Hope it works for you.
