Help Can't find some bluetooth devices

I am able to find my car stereo with my ZMAX and pair up no problem. However, the phone can't find my Panasonic theater system that has bluetooth. When I had my LG Motion 4G, I was able to find the Panasonic theater system and pair up no problem. Why can't the ZMAX see it? Any ideas?

How old is the Panasonic theater system? Also, be sure you checked and made sure the zte zmax is set as discoverable

The Panasonic system (SU HTB-350) is about 3-4 years old. It has V2.1 + EDR bluetooth. And yes, the phone is set to discoverable.
