Help Can't find 'Sync Options' in Email

Clarkie

Newbie
Hey,

On my Galaxy Nexus and HP Touchpad using the email app I can click Settings > Sync Options and then set it to only sync the last 30 days of emails. My Dad has recently got a Galaxy S3 and is using the email client. Unfortunately this option seems to be hidden away somewhere.

In the last 2 days he's used 1GB of data purely syncing email because the app wants to download all 60,000 emails from All Mail. Is it not possible on the S3 to change the date the emails sync from?

Thanks,
Jack Clarke

Email not Gmail right?

Just press the left (options) soft key when in the email list and you should get what's in the pic, just goto sync options.

In that case I'd be checking play store for updates and if no joy, checking for firmware updates. Failing that possibly a factory reset unless anyone else can narrow this down.

You could for the time being get in the habit of turning off auto sync until such time as you can connect to WiFi as to not impede on your data plan.

Start the email program, press the key on the bottom left of the phone to bring up the menu, then click settings. Next click whatever email account you want to change and the options are right there.
