Root cant flash android 4.2

i have htc evo v 4g s-off on JP 1.57 an unlocked i flashed it with 4 ext but it reboots after the flash it start the jellybean boot logo and then just powers off and i get stuck in a bootloop anybody know an easy way of fixing this problem. thanks

You need the ENG HBOOT 1.04.

You need to give a little more info, but my first thought is your hboot 1.57. You probably need something like hboot 1.04 ENG.

i tried installing pranoid android and that didnt work so then i tried gangnamstyle rom and again same problem keeps on bootlooping. And i figured i needed 1.4 hboot but dont know for sure though since i have the vm phone. I dont know how to degrade to 1.4 is it really necessary ? and if it is then where can i get the files and instruction. thanks

Yeah it's necessary, and you want to install 1.04 hboot. Look here : http://androidforums.com/showthread.php?p=4765665
