Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm trying to flash the CWM Recovery image (aospCWMod-HC-20110421.img) and I keep having issues. I renamed it to "recovery.img" I have tried flashing it with both names using my ADB shell and TE with no luck. Any suggestions? I'm wanting to install Gingerbread and I am trying to follow DonB's directions to a T.

Flash through ClockWorkMod, you rename the new recovery to match the current one in the CWM folder, here is the info to do so, once done, simply open RM and flash recovery again, voila
Method II
Flash recovery using: RomManager
Download ClockworkMod Recovery 3.0.2.4
On the SD card, go to: /clockworkmod/download/koush.tangtgaming.com/recoveries.
Rename the old image there named recovery-clockwork-2.5.0.1-heroc.img to recovery-clockwork-2.5.0.1-xxx.img.
Move, then rename, the recovery-clockwork-3.0.0.5-heroc.img to recovery-clockwork-2.5.0.1-heroc.img.
Open RomManager and press Flash ClockworkMod Recovery and reboot the phone to recovery, you should see the orange text.

Don has you on the right track. But the new recovery is not needed to flash gingerbread. I and many others still use the 2.5.0.7 and it works fine. But if you want the latest and greatest it will work also. But don't let the recovery keep you from flashing asop gb its a great rom.
Glad it worked for you, and i also was on the old recovery, but the MCat convinced me to try the new recovery if not for anything else the color orange, to have a different look at something, LOL and the new recovery works fine, and does not effect any of my old Nandroids as they all work with the new recovery.
Somehow the only method that worked reliably for me was Method I using the thread that DonB is referring to (I think I have tried all 4 Methods). Using Method I, I am able to reliably swap from the older 2 version to 3 and vice-versa in case I need to use an older version for a Sense ROM for Profile and PRL updates. Anybody know a Sense ROM I could use with the latest 3.0.2.4 for when I want to update PRL. Thanks.
I bet you method II is not working most likely because you are put the IMG file in the wrong folder, you make have 2 IMG folder, check all your folder and see, you may have an update folder and it has the IMG in a different folder, report back if you don't find it.
I'm confused. This is where I put CWM and renamed it:
/clockworkmod/download/koush.tangtgaming.com/recoveries.
But I have had a bunch of issues with .img files for updates and always end up using the Android Shell to do work. What are the IMG folders you mention.
Well check each folder, because when you most likely update 2.5.0.1 to 2.5.0.7 it probably created a new folder, check all folder and check inside all folders in those folders, like mine I had change the Koush folder one but that was 2.5.0.1 and did not work, my 2.5.0.7 was in I think Mirrorbrain.cyanogenmod.com/cm/recoveries or something like that, I am not by my phone right now.
