Root Cant flash CWM

Need help flashing CWM...

I unlocked boot loader, tried to flash cwm. it shows in the fastboot menu, When I select recovery i get the HTC screen with the red letters about development only and then it reboots. I can't make it work, I want to get rooted and try toms but I'm stumped. any help would be appreciated.

Follow up : I tried again this morning and it freezes up at the HTC screen where it says this is for development only. And I have to force reboot from there. Has nobody else had this problem? I've never had rooting problem before, this has proven to be a tough little bugger. Advice is greatly appreciated guys.

I had this problem also. I got around it by reflashing the recovery but i used it from a diffrent source. Just search on Google, I forgot where i got mine. Now I'm running into a diffrent problem with SD card mounting

I used the ultimate android tool found on xda, it worked great. So, now I'm just looking for a STABLE rom to try out.....
