Cant get apps to update / rooted

jdfet

Newbie
So I rooted my Inc2 and am still learning about what I can do. However, I am not able to update my apps. The phone will say that updates are available but when I tell it to go ahead and update them, it will show they are but nothing is happening. As I look at the top of the screen the '3G arrows' are not lit...in other words theres no down loading taking place. I have tried turning 'airplane' mode on then off, I have tried to reboot, I have also tried to go to Market Place and update them manually but to no avail!
Ideas?
Thanks

If still having issue, go to manage applications, scroll to play store, clear data...

Yep, it's the same app, it will update itself once you've set it right.

Open the app & go in it's settings. Things like update over wifi (mentioned above), update automatically*, etc etc. If it's set to update automatically not just over wifi but 3g aswell, & you have 3g or wifi on then it should work.

Also in phone settings there is Enable background data, tick this also.

*They won't always update automatically - if a permission has changed it wants you to OK it first before updating it.

When I go into the 'Market' app, then go to 'settings' the only 2 options I have is 'Content Filtering' and 'Notifications'. There are no other options.
