Root Can't get clockworkmod to install

I'm new to this so my appologies if this is something obvious. I rooted my spectrum yesterday with the all in one method. I've confirmed root so it looked like everything went ok. But it doesn't appear as though CWM installed. How do I know it did and how do I access it to do a backup of my current rom. I downloaded rom manager but it says I need to flash CWM. From what I've read I don't want to do this....right? Any help is greatly appreciated!
 
There should be an option to reboot into recovery in rom manager, use that option to reboot into cwm. You are correct DO NOT use rom manager for anything else.
 
Sweet, that helped. I was able to boot into recovery and I'm doing a backup as I write this. Now what about clockworkmod touch? Is that ok and if so how to install it?
 
It should be touch. To choose options the touch screen should work rather than using the physical buttons to navigate the menu's
