Can't get contacts to sync

I have been having a problem getting my contacts to sync between my android phone & android tablet for months. Contacts app on phone is version 11.1.80.15, on tablet is 11.1.87.0. Every time that I try to manually sync on tablet, I get a sync error.

Any help appreciated.

how much space do you have on your tablet? try clearing some space and see if that helps.

What syncing service are you trying to use, Google, Samsung, or something else.

I have fixed this problem by recreating my contacts. Sorry to be so slow to update this thread. Thanks for your help.

What do you mean by recreating the contacts? Can you be more specific?

I had to reenter all of my contacts. I could not get them to download or sync from my other devices.
