Help cant get it to link with comp.. ??

Hi, how do I get the phone to link with comp so I can add my music?
Is there any other way to add music from computer other than htc sync?

have tried to download Htc sync version from site but keeps timing out as we are on a dongle.

When you plug the USB in, does it not give an option on how you want to connect? Just select "Mount as Disk Drive" (or whatever the option is).

Failing that go to Settings -> Connect to PC and either put a tick in the "Ask Me" box or change the default connection type.

it didn't show any conection at all, I am in the process of downloading 'doubletwist' at the moment due to all the bad shouts about the HTC sync..

you know, as a random thought, have you tried another cable or different USB ports on your Laptop/computer? might be an issue with one of those as the phone and comp should automatically detect each other, all you have to do from there is 'mount' as El Pres mentioned.
