Help Cant get manual updates to work

I just got my new captivate, switching from an iphone 3gs. I was trying to update the software on it and it keeps giving me the error that the att server is having a communication error. What should I do to try to resolve this issue? I had the phone rooted but unrooted it with the same program.

when did you get the phone? i got a replacement a week ago and it came with the update installed.

if thats not it try turning off wifi and then recheck.

there is also a way to install it using kies mini but i dont have experience with it, should be pretty easy though

Always got the "Update is failed." error myself. Kies Mini installed JH7 with ease.

So my OTA updates will never work? I would think if the update was already installed it would say so in the box instead of saying cant connect to the server.
