Can't get my PC to recognize My Tablet

I have a ONN Android 10.1 tablet. My pc recognizes my tablet. When I try to open tablet, I get an EMPTY message. I have gone to the device manager in my pc. i have the latest MTP driver. Evidently it's not being recognized. I have tried installing and uninstalling tablet. Any suggestions? . . . Thank You

what do you mean by "empty message"? does a window popup when connected? what does it say, if so?

normally it would say "Internal Storage". It just says "Empty"

is it possible that when I was playing around with the tablet (I'm a Newbie) that I turned something off?

Oops I didn't see that your device storage shows as empty. Working on a hard bricked Zenphone 6 that is now alive again. Reboot the tablet and PC or try a different USB port or cable.
