Can't hear phone ringing in loud ambient environment

I don't carry my phone and I'm not going to. It sits on my desk in a stand.

I carry a bluetooth headset in my pocket. When the phone rings, I put the headset on and answer the call.

Problem is these children's toys don't even have a ringer that sounds like a phone.
I guess when Chinese children are designing and making them, that's what we get.

First I'd like a ringtone that actually sounds like a telephone. Is that too much to ask for?
Second I'd like to be able to hear whatever sound it makes from more than 10' away when there is low to moderate ambient noise in the environment (some people actually WORK for a living, ya know?

So what are my options here? I found some devices on Amazon which sense the vibrator on an incoming call and it flashes lights and makes a sound. It appears to be designed for, or at least used by, the hearing impaired. It costs $75. My Samsung Galaxy phone cost $49.

Do I really have to spend $75 to hear my $49 phone ring?

Is there any way to make my phone sound like a phone?

What other options exist to abate this nuisance?

i always say that with most electronic devices, you get what you pay for. my samsung note 8 works just fine wether i'm in a bar or club or any noisy environment. i only wish the vibration was a bit stronger.

you might want to check out a smart watch. they are really handy and will let you know if a call or text is coming thru. some are really affordable and some are not...........just remember that you get what you pay for.

I've had numerous Android phones, and best I remember, each came with at least one ringtone that sounded like an actual phone. I happen to prefer that, too. :) Are you sure you've tried every ringtone that came with your phone? If there really aren't any that suit you, I know that zillions of ringtones are available online--I've just never needed any, so I can't refer you anywhere. But a search should get you started.

I have no suggestions, as I've never had that problem.

Ha ha, why, yes, I fondly remember doing that for years! Loved it! :D I'd still be doing it if circumstances had been different.

Thanks for the responses fellow Droiders.
At Wal-Mart I found a bluetooth speaker like kids use to blow their ears out listening to garbage.
I have paired it with my phone in addition to my bluetooth headset.
Call comes in and it rings on the bluetooth speaker and I take the call with my headset.
I will locate the speaker in the remote area of our facility where I can't hear the phone ring over the ambient noise.
$15 solution! Yeah!
