Help Can't install any apps, HELP!!!

Hi everyone, im really hoping someone can help me as it feels like i have destroyed my phone.

I have got the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play and have recently upgraded from a 16gb memory card to a 32gb one.

I copied all of my files onto my computers HDD, deleted everything in my 16gb card, replaced it with my 32gb one and copied everything back over. Everything was in one folder so it is not as if i have forgotten anything.
But ever since then, hardly any of my apps work. My gameboid app cant find any ROMs, my avi player has disapeared (and not available on the market any more) and the music player does not work. Even with putting new music on the memory card it either says "music library empty" or "cannot play track".

Please help! I am due on a 10 hour flight in a few weeks and this is the only thing that is going to get me through!

Welcome to Android Forums!

Are you sure you got everything? A lot of times apps put things into hidden folders. If you didn't copy the hidden folders, too, then that could be the bulk of your problems.

I'm trying again now. I have just deleted everything from my phones memory card and copying each file individually to make sure it copies over properly. This could be a long, boring job!

Might be a real silly question, but did you format the 32 in the phone?

^Uhm, no. I dont even know how to format a memory card.

I am assuming that i bought a dodgy card. Every time i transferred any kind of media to it, it would be there on the card but when i disconnect my phone it would instantly be gone. I was assuming it was my fault for buying from eBay.

But i formatting a card can cause these problems maybe i just need to do that?

I have fixed it now but thats only because i have gone back to my 16gb card.

To format the card please do the following on your handset:

main Menu > Settings > Storage > Unmount SD Card > Erase SD Card.

This will often resolve this type of issue.
