Recently rooted my HTC M8 and now want to flash the latest firmware with TWRP , but I'm getting this error:

Installing '/external_sd/[Firmware file].zip
Checking for MD5 file...
Skipping MD5 check: no MD5 file found
Error flashing zip '/external_sd/[Firmware file].zip'
Updating partition details...
...done

I'm no HTC expert but for the most part, stock firmware you get from a manufacturer can't be flashed with TWRP, or any other custom recovery. You need a PC for that and a special program designed for HTC phones.

Blu8 is right,You can't use TWRP to flash stock firmware.
You need a computer and HTC Flash Tool.
HTC Flash Tool here:

Have you used it recently? It's not been updated in over 2 1/2 years so I'm not sure it's even still relevant.

Maksis, what are you trying to flash exactly, do you have a link to the zip file? HTC stock firmware (RUU's) is normally an .exe file ran from your PC.
