Help Can't Install or Update Apps?

When I try to install or update an app via the Google Play Store, it never gets past the Installing... messages.

It seems to download the data, but then stops at the Installing... message.

There's no error message displayed as far as I can tell.

I have 788 MB space on the phone and much more on the SD card.

I'm using Android 5 and have lots of apps that need updating!

Thanks.

You don't say what phone you have. But 788mb is not a great deal of space to have as apps will download to your internal space to begin with, some of which will be used as a temporary storage as the files download, and further temporary space will be used as the app attempts to install.

You may simply be running out of usable space on the phone which is causing the installation to hang. Try removing some apps to gain more space or moving some app data to your SD card.

Edit: Would have added, if they are small apps you are trying to install and are failing try force stopping the apps store, clearing it's data and try again.

Thanks. I'm the past I have seen the out of space error.

Then I freed up some spacey and all was ok for a while.

No error messages now though.

Its a Voda smart ultra 6.
