Help can't log in to built-in youtube app

hi all,

for some reason i can't seem to log in to the built-in youtube app. it works fine via the browser, but when i try to log in via the app it says either "the username or password isn't valid" or "there was a network error while trying to sign in to XXX. retry now or press the back button to cancel".

i'm going on vacation in two days and was looking forward to uploading a few movies on the fly. looks like i will have to do it manually via the browser :(

any ideas what's going on?
 
i'm having the same issue. searched many forums and no answers anywhere. I would also like help, if anyone can offer it...

same problem here i already call verizon i already call motorola the only solution they give me is replace the phone but i dont want that because is not just my phone i try like 5 more phones all of them same problem...


l;ets wait i think this will be fix in an update i hope so... plz somebody help
 
UH OH! I can't log in either. I actually just signed up.

I can login with a browser.

I have also noticed that the main screen doesn't update the videos (even before trying to sign in)

I go back to edit the account and try to log back in, and it says I'm username@youtube.com
 
Ok, first level tech support had me do this:

Change my password on a computer.

Shutdown droid, remove battery, wait 10-20 seconds.... boot it back up.

I entered my password and got:

USER ERROR or something like that.

But I'm now logged in )

Still got a problem, videos aren't refreshing on the first page, I still have 4 day old content.

holy crappy pants batman! it worked. thanks a lot! :)

and yes i'm also still showing old videos on the first page but i don't really care.
 
i got it thanks so much i just did the battery thing and tell me errors i just repeat repat and i finally got it working thanks so much :D
 
I had the same problem a few days after getting my phone.

Step 1: Sign into youtube account on another computer
Step 2: Type in email address and google account password
Step 3: Click on link accounts button
Step 4: Follow email account verification steps when prompted to.
Step 5: Save new information when prompted to.
Step 6: Google youtube on droid phone.

Should be working fine after that.

(Note): Cannot be done on you phone must use another computer.
