Help Can't make or hear my voicemails

What happens is that I call my voicemail, and every thing is normal for about 4 seconds, then the call ends itself. When I call someone to leave a voicemail, just as I can hear the options, the call ends by itself.

I don't know what to do. I have the LG optimus V for virgin mobile. Is this a common thing? Does it seem like the phone or virgin mobile? HALP?
