Can't make SD card internal storage on my Samsung A40

I recently bought a 256 GB Samsung SD card for my phone and I can't see a way to make it my internal storage
Is it just not possible on my phone or can I just not find it?

not sure, but if you phone can, it would be in settings>storage>format sd card as internal.......or something to that effect.

I don't see the option to 'Format as internal storage'

then your phone cannot use the sd card in that way.

Samsung devices don't have that feature.
