Can't mount SD Card

For some reason or another, I cannot mount my 16gb class 4 PNY sd card
It was working fine up until yesterday and today it doesn't recognize it as being inserted? I'm really hating the fact that I may have to take in my phone...any suggestions?

Similar thing happened to me -- and while I was able to recover SOME of the files using RecoverMyFiles (from Runtime Software), quite a few were lost.

Taking your phone in is likely to do NOTHING about the SD card problem.

Plus, don't be surprised if they RESET your phone -- erasing everything on it.

My advice would be to try to mount the SD card on a PC, and use that to recover as many files as possible.

If it won't mount, then you will need a data recovery app (like RecoverMyFiles) in order to harvest as must as you can from the card.

I just saw another SGS3 owner state the same thing...could the phone be "shorting" out or corrupting the SD cards???

I don't mind getting a new SD card but, to spend $70+ on a new 32gb and then have it not work in a couple of months is not an option.
