Hi,
I recently rooted and installed Cyanogenmod 13 on my S5 however I've been having issues with the battery. I lose around 20% on idle in an hour. Under clocked my CPU to about min 900 and max 1000MHz and its gotten better, however, still got battery, and a little bit of over heating issues. (gets a little warm on idle which shouldn't at all)

I'd heard its the NFC that's causing these issues and the battery stats show such results as well. so wanted to delete that but I'm unable to mount the system as read and write and I've tried with many programs and ADB.
Any suggestions? :/ Thanks :)

Hello and welcome to Android Forums Axle!

CM13 for Marshmallow is still on nightly releases and really need downloading and updating on a daily basis as these are beta, test, releases and a lot of improvements and tweaks are put into each release.

Be very careful about messing around with, /system, apps. You can install Root Explorer from the Play Store if you need to change the read/write, r/w, permissions.

Alternatively, you can install Titanium Backup and Pro that is a must for rooters and flashers, and freeze, not remove, the offending app.

Thank you for your response Ironass

I have both programs however Root Explorer was also unable to mount the System as RW. At the moment I am updating the Rom hoping it would help me.

Thanks again :)
