Can't move to SD

Hi

I had a HTC desire and I was able to move apps to the sim.

I have recently bought a Samsung S4 and I am unable to move any apps whatsoever to the SD card, I have tried installing an app2sd and also apps 2 sd and I have also gone to settings, more, application manager but there is nothing on the phone saying to move to sd. On the apps where they used to be a button saying 'move to sd', there just isn't.

Please can you advise me how I can do this?

Will android be doing a patch to put this right?

There's no patch necessary. The architecture has changed. With Android 4.1 the internal volumes that represent system space and user space are virtualized. This makes the total internal storage space available to apps. External sd cards now are simply storage space for user content like music, movies, photos, etc. Given how fragile and unreliable they can be, this is a good thing.
