Help Can't open downloads

Hey guys. can't seem to open downloaded pics from internet. Also, such things as Swiftkey cloud beta app. They seem to download but just get an error when trying to open. I'm sure it's something simple I'm just missing but can't see it. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Your gallery might not able to view these pics. If they "exotic" formats you migt try a pic viewer like Fast Image Viewer.

BTW, you'd look at the pic's file extension with a file manager like ES File Explorer.
Files with the extension .jpg or .jpeg should be shown by your gallery.
The files are in the folder Download of your intern/extern SD card.

Interestingly, I can open the files I have downloaded in the MyFile app, should have tried that first, thanks. However, still can't open them from the Downloads app.
