Help Can't open pics/mms

Posting for a friend who cannot open pics from anyone all of a sudden. He confirmed with me that he has 3g signal all the time. Here is his message tp me:

Everytime I try to open a pic from u...it says national access coverage not available....?

Nobody has any idea what might be going on? He said it's not just me, it's everybody. He has tried rebooting the phone. And like I said, full data signal.

Hi Puddin' !
I had the same issue with my Droid 2 / Verizon.

Have him try this:

Call *228 and select option #1. It'll take a minute to reprog the phone. This will NOT change any of your personal settings or anything you have stored on the phone, don't worry. Next, reboot the phone. If this doesn't work, just call Verizon @ 800-922-0204 and ask a 2nd level tech to "Refresh your VLR." They'll know what it is. (Don't call from the phone that's having issues b/c you should have the battery OUT when this is performed). Mine works like a charm now.

EDIT: Um, yeah, I didn't realize your friend may not have Verizon...no mention of his device either...although we ARE in the MD2 forum. Good luck!
